The Eglinton West Law Office provides quality legal services in child protection, family, and criminal law to individuals and families in the Greater Toronto Area. We support access to justice for low and moderate income clients by offering reasonable fees, accepting legal aid certificates and assisting self-represented litigants.
The Eglinton West Law Office is operated by Renatta Austin Professional Corporation.
Renatta is a dynamic trial and appeal lawyer. She holds a Bachelor‘s degree in Criminology and Political Science from the University of Toronto, a law degree from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law, and a Master's degree focused on Public Policy and Public Administration from the University of Western Ontario. Renatta has also completed specialized training in trial and appellate advocacy.
Renatta spends an average of three days each week representing clients in court. She is particularly skilled at representing clients in complex cases that involve parallel criminal and family/child protection proceedings.
Renatta is a Director of the Women’s Health in Women’s Health CHC, Parkdale Community Legal Services and the York-Eglinton BIA. When not attending to client or community matters, Renatta enjoys travelling and binge-watching television with her dog, Skittles.
Pierrette obtained her Law Clerk diploma in 2015. She has a background in Real Estate and Family Law and is passionate about the legal system. She is the first point of contact for general inquiries and client intake. She has her own personal experience in Family Law and Child Protection, as she herself was made a Crown Ward at a young age. Pierrette wishes to utilize the experience gained through her upbringing to positively influence families in similar situations and bring awareness to mental health issues in the future.
Bethany holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Sociology from the University of Toronto.
She brings a deep understanding of social justice issues and a commitment to excellent client service to our office. She is responsible for assisting clients as well as managing the day-to-day operations at our firm. Bethany plans to pursue graduate studies in the future.
Our fee will be based principally on the time spent by us on your behalf. Records of all time will be kept, and accounts will then be prepared and sent to you periodically.
In an effort to make legal services affordable and available to all, we do NOT offer free consultations.
We require confirmation and payment of $113.00 ($100.00+HST) at least 48 hours in advance of your appointment date to secure the block of time.
Please note that payment becomes NON-REFUNDABLE less than 24 hours in advance of your appointment date. If you are late for your appointment, your time slot will not be held for longer than 10 minutes after the confirmed start time.

Our firm accepts Legal Aid Certificates for child protection, family and criminal law matters in the GTA.
At this time, we accept cash or credit only as payment methods in our office. We DO NOT accept debit card payments in office.
